A confined space rescue plan is designed to ensure workers can safely enter and exit a confined space in an emergency. The planning process begins with an assessment of the space and the hazards that could interfere with the work. Workers need to be trained on the equipment and rescue process prior to entering the space.

This confined space rescue plan is a tool to help ensure all aspects of a confined space rescue plan are covered. Working in confined spaces can pose a risk to workers being partially or fully enveloped by soil or other material.
